What it safeguards

The OHP Legacy Vault connects each qualifying heirloom to one authenticated member account. An OHP Member ID identifies the account; it never replaces the password.
Blessing record
The stated intention, date and notes can be preserved without making guaranteed spiritual claims.
Private story
The owner can update the title, family history, known provenance and intended recipient inside the protected portal.
Care & renewal
Care notes, condition observations and significant renewal milestones can be added to the living record.
Legacy Letter
Write and revise a private letter, then digitally seal it when it is ready to become read-only and tamper-evident.
Messages of love
Permitted photographs, voice recordings and videos can preserve the warmth behind the formal heirloom record.
Protected files
Supporting photographs, PDF records, audio and video can be encrypted before private storage, subject to configured limits.
Family access planning
A nominated heir can be recorded for a future administrator-reviewed release; nomination does not grant immediate access.
Protected handover
Transfer, release, export, recovery and correction requests follow an administrator-reviewed process.

Safeguarding the family legacy
Security with human control.
The OHP Legacy Vault’s protection is implemented by the OHP Legacy Platform plugin; this theme does not move, copy or expose private OHP Legacy Vault data.
Owner-controlled access
Members sign in with their Member ID or email plus password. Jetpack Protect and OHP rate limiting remain in the login flow.
Private by default
Every OHP Legacy Vault query is authorised against the signed-in member, so a direct record or file link does not grant access by itself.
AES-256-GCM encryption
Private profile fields, Legacy Letters, recipient details, request payloads and permitted file contents are encrypted before storage.
Tamper-evident sealing
A sealed Legacy Letter receives a timestamp, content hash and signed seal that can be checked for integrity.
Recorded continuity
Security-sensitive platform events are recorded in a tamper-evident audit chain for administrator review.
Family access planning
A nomination records future intent without silently creating a second owner or sharing today’s private OHP Legacy Vault.
Reviewed handover
Transfer and release requests are not automatically approved; OHP staff review the submitted pathway.
Recovery planning
Account recovery follows a protected request and verification process rather than bypassing the normal login controls.
Respectful export
Export, correction and data requests follow an authenticated, logged and administrator-reviewed workflow.
Backups, server hardening, data location, recovery testing and administrator MFA still depend on the production hosting and operating procedures. The OHP Legacy Vault should never be described as absolutely unbreakable.
